Good food is a choice, not a diet.
smartnutrition started at a too-small kitchen table — with the conviction that healthy cooking need be neither complicated nor joyless.
Hi, I'm George Nader.
As a trained nutrition scientist and passionate cook, I spent ten years working in restaurant kitchens and clinics — and saw again and again how far apart “healthy” and “delicious” are usually treated.
smartnutrition is my attempt to bring the two back together: recipes grounded in research that taste like your grandmother invented them. Every recipe on this site was tested in a real kitchen — mine.
“Eat the food that strengthens you — and enjoy every bite of it.”
How a food blog became a kitchen for everyone
In 2019 I shared the first recipe — a Mediterranean lentil bowl — with a handful of friends. Within a few months, thousands were cooking along. What began as a notebook grew into a living library of tested recipes.
Today smartnutrition spans hundreds of tested recipes, structured meal plans for every way of eating, and a curated marketplace of the books and tools we use ourselves.
We believe in transparency: no paid placements inside recipes, clear nutrition facts, and corrections when we get it wrong. Our team of cooks and dietitians reviews every post.
Three principles every recipe must pass
Built on research
No nutrition trend without evidence. We rely on studies, not headlines.
Cooked for real
Every recipe is tested several times in an everyday kitchen — not just a studio.
Honestly linked
We label affiliate links. They never influence what we recommend.
