High-Protein Pasta Bake with Ham & Cottage Cheese

Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a large baking dish.
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, according to the package instructions. Drain well and let it cool for a few minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cottage cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Add the cooked pasta, diced ham, and half of the shredded cheese to the bowl. Gently stir until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the egg and cottage cheese mixture.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese evenly over the top.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
Let the pasta bake rest for 5 minutes before slicing into 6 portions. Serve warm with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables.
Cooking the pasta just until al dente helps it maintain the perfect texture after baking. This casserole is an excellent meal-prep recipe, as it reheats beautifully and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Try using smoked turkey breast instead of ham for a different flavor while keeping the protein content high.
