High-Protein Creamy Oatmeal with Skyr & Berries

Method
In a small saucepan, combine the rolled oats and milk. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring frequently, until the oats are soft and the mixture becomes thick and creamy. If the oatmeal becomes too thick, add a splash of milk to reach your preferred consistency.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the oatmeal to cool for 1–2 minutes. This prevents the Skyr from becoming too warm and helps maintain its creamy texture.
Stir in the plain Skyr until fully incorporated. The oatmeal will become rich, smooth, and packed with protein.
Sweeten to taste using your preferred sweetener.
Spoon the oatmeal into a serving bowl and top with the fresh berries.
Finish with cinnamon, chia seeds, sliced almonds, or fresh mint if desired, and serve immediately.
For an extra creamy breakfast, stir a few drops of vanilla extract into the oatmeal before adding the Skyr. During summer, use fresh strawberries and blueberries; in colder months, frozen berries work just as well and create a delicious sauce as they thaw over the warm oatmeal.
