Method

  1. Load the Jug: Layer the diced carrot, celery, courgette, cannellini beans, minced garlic, tomato purée, dried herbs, and chopped tomatoes into the soup maker jug.

  2. Add Stock & Seasoning: Pour the vegetable stock over the ingredients, ensuring you do not exceed the jug’s maximum fill line. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.

  3. Select Chunky Mode: Secure the lid, select the Chunky hot cooking cycle (28 minutes), and allow the appliance to cook without intervention.

  4. Finish & Serve: Stir in the dried ditalini pasta during the final 10 minutes of cooking (or stir in pre-cooked pasta at the end). Stir through fresh parsley before serving warm.

Chef's Tip

Cooking Hack: To prevent pasta from overcooking or absorbing too much broth when storing leftovers, cook the ditalini separately on the hob and stir a portion into each bowl just before serving.
