Turmeric-Spiced Pear Crumble

Method
Prepare the Pears: Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan/Gas Mark 4). In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced pears with the ground turmeric, ground ginger, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Ensure the pears are evenly coated with the spices and syrup. Transfer the spiced pears into a lightly greased baking dish, arranging them evenly.
Prepare the Crumble: In a separate bowl, combine the almond flour, gluten-free rolled oats, melted coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, and the ground cinnamon. Stir the ingredients until a coarse, crumbly texture forms. Make sure the mixture is well mixed to form the topping for the crumble.
Assemble the Crumble: Spread the almond flour and oat mixture evenly over the pears in the baking dish, ensuring that the pears are fully covered with the crumble topping. This will help the pears absorb the flavours from the crumble as they bake.
Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes. Check occasionally, and remove the crumble when the pears are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Serve: Let the crumble cool slightly before serving. It pairs perfectly with a dollop of coconut yoghurt or dairy-free ice cream for an indulgent finish.
