High-Protein Tuna & Pickle Spread

Method
Drain the tuna thoroughly and transfer it to a medium mixing bowl.
Flake the tuna with a fork until it reaches a light, even texture.
Add the light mayonnaise, green onions, red onion, chopped dill pickles, and minced garlic.
Stir everything together until the ingredients are evenly combined and the spread becomes creamy.
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, keeping in mind that the pickles already add saltiness.
For the best flavor, refrigerate the spread for 10–15 minutes to allow the ingredients to meld.
Serve chilled on whole-grain bread, crispbread, toasted sourdough, lettuce cups, or as a protein-rich filling for wraps and sandwiches.
For extra freshness, stir in a tablespoon of chopped fresh dill or parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice just before serving. If you prefer an even creamier texture, lightly mash half of the tuna while leaving the rest flaky for more bite.
